Austin Long Interviewed for RT
October 24, 2012
Austin Long, Member of SIWPS and Assistant Professor at SIPA, was interviewed Sunday about the possibility of a military strike in Iran to disrupt its nuclear program. Dr. Long, who co-wrote a report reviewing the potential effects of attacking Iran for the Iran Project, noted several problems with this approach--particularly that any option that would guarantee Iran would be unable to continue its weapons program would require a conventional war and long-term occupation. On the other hand, Dr. Long cautioned that the potential for a nuclear-armed Iran "is a problem for the entire world," not just Israel.
The interview is available on RT's website.
