Jack Snyder Receives ISA's Distinguished Scholar Award
April 24, 2012
Jack Snyder, Robert and Renée Belfer Professor of International Relations at Columbia's Department of Political Science, recently received the International Studies Association's Distinguished Scholar in International Security Studies award. The award is given by the ISA in recognition of "major contributions to scholarship in the field both via their own research and writing and their mentorship of others"--an apt description of Dr. Snyder's work as a professor and the Director of Undergraduate studies at Columbia University.
Prior recipients of the award have included Saltzman Institute members Kenneth Waltz (2010), Richard Betts (2005) and Robert Jervis (1996).
