Jean-Marie Guéhenno, Director of the Center for International Conflict Resolution, briefed the press in his capacity as Deputy Joint Special Envoy of the United Nations and the League of Arab States for the crisis in Syria. During the briefing, which came after a presentation before the UN Security Council, Dr. Guéhenno reiterated Kofi Annan's declaration that Syria is at a "tipping point" and that "small diplomatic signals will not suffice" to prevent further violence in Syria.
