Johannes Urpelainen in Ideas for India
October 2, 2012
Johannes Urpelainen, Saltzman Institute Member and Assistant Professor in Columbia's Department of Political Science, has published an article for the online policy forum Ideas for India. The article analyzes India's use of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), a part of the Kyoto Protocol which encourages industrialized countries to invest in emissions reduction projects in developing states. Dr. Urpelainen finds that more use could be made of CDM projects, and suggests the Indian government should implement a CDM investment facilitation program at the national level in order to encourage them.
The article is available at Ideas for India's website.
