SIWPS Director Richard Betts Receives MIT's Doolittle Award

Richard Betts, Director of the Saltzman Institute and of the International Security Policy Concentration at SIPA, received the Doolittle Award today from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Security Studies Program. The award is given in honor of General James "Jimmy" Doolittle, the architect and leader of the World War II-era "Doolittle Raid" which resulted in the first attack on the Japanese home islands of that war. Each recipient of the Doolittle Award also presents a lecture on the topic of miiltary aviation.
